Ah, the holidays. The season of delicious food, quality family time and lots of leisure is nearly upon us. But who am I kidding? The season also brings overeating, bickering and stressing out over holiday shopping. Wouldn't it be nice if we had an excuse to take a break from it all and curl up with a good book (or... twelve)?

You're in luck! This December, I challenge you to read no fewer than twelve books of your choosing. There's no list or theme you have to adhere to. Want to build a stack? Go for it! Want to fly by the seat of your pants? Excellent! This challenge is all about getting those books off the shelves. After all, shouldn't you make some room for all the new books you'll get as gifts?

I realize that not everyone celebrates a white Christmas or Christmas at all, and this challenge is (of course!) open to anyone, whether December means the start of a long, lazy summer, or lighting a menorah, or, heck, just about anything else.

The challenge will run from Tuesday, December 1 through Thursday, December 31, 2015. To sweeten the deal (because, c'mon, it's the holidays!), I'll enter anyone who completes the challenge into a random drawing for a book worth up to $20 from The Book Depository.
